“Torn” is a song by Ava Max. It was released on August 19, 2019 and the official music video was released on August 27, 2019.
Billboard described the song as a “disco-infused dance track where the star sings about the internal struggle of wanting to leave, while also wanting to stay with her lover.” The song was included on Vogue’s “34 Best Songs of 2019” list, where Christian Allaire stated that the song “earworms its way into head at least once a day”.
In a press release, Ava Max said that the song “explores the struggle” between love and hate, which she called “two of the strongest emotions we feel in relationships.”
