Rapping is "spitting out the rhymes", if I may say so. If hip-hop music actively has that in it, call it rap. If not, then just hip-hop.

I find hip-hop and rap to both be classifiable genres, with rap being a subgenre of hip-hop. I wouldn't call artists such as [artist]Nujabes[/artist] or [artist]DJ Shadow[/artist] "rappers", would I?

I first came across your sound back in 05 when a friend let me shuffle through her iTunes library. Since then never looked it back and kept spinning it. Keep blessing us with that good music..!!!

idunno, my personal conception of rap is mostly about the lyrics. This album has a ton of soul in the music alone and the lyrics arent spit out so fast. My personal conception. On another note, one of my favorite things about this album is the "arrow" soundstamp after the tracks, in the style of a radio broadcast. Any other albums do that?

"Hip-hop and rap are separate genres. Definitely not rap, kiddies." maybe you should know what youre talking about before you try to school anyone else, you obviously have no idea. Taivan90 is 100% correct.

hip-hop and rap are separate genres? what the fuck are talking about?! rap is music. hip-hop is a culture. rap is a part of hip-hop. like krs said-"hip is the knowledge, hop is the movement, hip and hop is intelligent movement (...) hip-hop culture is eternal". people just don't know what they say...
