No matter how I love Asphyx and this album cover, also Nocturnus/Death, I really can't get into this album. I don't know, maybe it has some Gorguts' specific over-technicalization that it gives me too much variation to enjoy.. yet, it's sad, the only song I like from it is "Twisted Truth". Hope someday I will come back and realise how wrong I was.

Perfection Fucking Perfection!!! Lyrical lines are genious in their simplicity and figurative. Brief and expressive! Music... yeah, music is far beyond all unearthly delights! All tracks, intros and songs are parts of Great Design and some godlike puzzle! I Love this brilliant album 'till death!!!

@thejackyl: Why not appropriate? Brutality can come melodies, disharmony or odd harmony, speed, the dynamic range and lyrics. It's not always the deep sound that pushes through the speakers. If the sound is distorted and mixed in the right way it sounds as brutal as Suffocation...

"The only Pestilence album worth a damn." => Ok, maybe you're totally wrong or I'm missing the biggest part of what is actually called death metal worldwide. In the first case, your bad. If second is right, please show me the stuff your listening to! I'm a great DM fan, Grave, Death, Morbid Angel and Dismember being some of my favorites, and Pestilence in the top of it all, but it's totally possible that i'm completely missing the real big thing in DM. So I respectfully ask you: could you recommend me something?

I have really mixed feelings about this album.. on one hand it has some great riffs and solos.. on the other hand it has the really bad habit of sounding like a watered down Consuming Impulse.. with useless keys.

Yes, nothing says progressive death metal like a mix of generic thrash, traditional doom, and the lightest side of Florida with death metal vocals and keyboard interludes.

"The only Pestilence album worth a damn." - you got that right. Notice also how much it sounds like a dumbed-down, underproduced version of Atheist circa "unquestionable presence". Most of the the "progress" on this album was just Tony's bass sound.
